IQ, EQ, SQ, and MQ in children should be balance. |
Children Health – Definition of Intelligence
has been growing rapidly. There are many types of intelligence today. We must
have been familiar with the term IQ (Intelligence Quotient) that shows how much
a person's intelligence capabilities. Then developed the term EQ (emotional
quotient) that shows how much a person's emotional intelligence. The next
development was the emergence of the term SQ (Spiritual Quotient) that shows
how much a person's spiritual intelligence. The latest is the term of MQ (moral
quotient).
MQ (moral quotient) is the intelligence of a person in the aspect of morality. Michele Borba, Ed.D, in his book "Building Moral Intelligence", defines moral intelligence as the ability to understand right and wrong, and the establishment of strong to think and behave in accordance with moral norms. Moral intelligence is certainly a very important aspect of one's life. Therefore, moral intelligence need to be aligned with IQ, EQ, and SQ.
Parents should pay attention to a wide range
of children's behavior. Every parent would want their children to grow up to be
people who are clever. Parents also certainly want their children to have a
good morality. Thus, parents should facilitate the child's education in a
balanced manner. Thus, IQ, EQ, SQ, and MQ can develop optimally.
The balance of various kinds of intelligence
in children, will make the children are able to optimizing their potential for
the good of all beings. Not only they are going to be someone who is clever,
but also can take advantage of their versatility to help the people around them
and treat nature wisely.
