Prevent Motion Sickness that Happened to The Children |
Children Health – When the holiday season,
certainly many families have plan of vacations. For example at the end of the
year holidays. No exception for a young family, go on vacation with the whole
family would be very desirable event. But traveling during the holidays can be
a worrisome thing because the child may run into motion sickness. Motion
sickness that experienced by children finally made the event so messy, because
he was so finicky, nausea, and even vomiting.
Motion sickness is most often happen to the
children aged 2-12 years, and rarely occurs in children under 2 years of age
and adults. The occurrence of motion sickness is usually due to motion stimuli
in the organ of balance excessive body. Here are tips to prevent motion
sickness:
1.
Select the appropriate seating position for children
The safest seating position of the children
to prevent the motion sickness in the car is in the front row or middle row.
When in air travel, the safest position is in the middle position (wing) of
aircraft. In this position, the shocks are usually not too severe than other
seating.
2.
Suggest children to look forward
In a road trip, you should suggest your
children to look ahead and not look at objects that move quickly in the nearby
(eg speeding car in the opposite direction). Reflex of the eye that follows the
fast moving objects too long can evoke nausea.
3. Do
not let your children to drink soda or eat too full
You should prevent your children to eat too
full or drink soft drinks before a long trip. You can provide some snacks and
not a lot of fat before and during the trip when it is hungry. You also need to
avoid dehydration condition of your children, because dehydration will also
make your children to nausea and dizziness easier.
4.
Avoid reading books or playing gadget during a trip in the car

and tends to move as the shock will make eyes tired and can bring a sense of
nausea and dizziness.
5.
Ensure sufficient fresh air in the vehicle and have good circulation
Avoid carrying something flavorful too harsh

motion sickness, use aromatherapy oils to help divert nausea.
6. Keep
steady of your vehicle's speed
In the overland journey by private vehicle,
try to keep steady of your vehicle's speed and not shaking too much. If the
child appears to have saturated or nausea, you may need to pull over and rest
for a moment about 10-15 minutes in the rest areas.
